The great advances in medical facilities have made it possible for couples to conceive a child. Established in October 2006, Shivam Fertility & IVF Centre was inaugurated by Dr. (Mrs.) Kumud Pasricha. She was a practicing gynecologist and obstetrician at Satyam Hospital, conducting all forms of endoscopic and open surgery. She was moved by the agony of infertility and wanted to devote a center for patients who were unable to conceive. She had already learned the art of IVF, ICSI, ART, etc. under Dr. Sadhna Desai in Mumbai and devoted herself to the Shivam IVF Centre. The Center was open to the people of Jalandhar and Punjab, and even overseas. It was designed to deal with all forms of infertility from basic inductions to IUI, IVF, ICSI, surrogacy, male infertility, etc.
